The Role
We are looking for a motivated individual to join the maintenance team at the worlds high-grade uranium mine, located at the Cigar Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan. You will report to the surface maintenance supervisor and work on surface.
In this role, you will:
-Perform predictive and preventative maintenance checks on a regular basis to ensure safe and reliable production
-Complete repairs and overhauls on equipment and piping systems in an underground mine and perform basic welding as required
-Troubleshoot equipment failures and document repair
Required:
-grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
-valid Saskatchewan or inter-provincial journeyperson industrial mechanic certification;
-three to five years of industrial experience;
-ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
-ability to wear PAPR when required;
-team player with good communication skills;
-excellent safety record; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
-familiarity with computerized maintenance tracking using SAP; and
-previous experience working in an underground mine.
