They are seeking a candidate with strong analytical and project management skills, along with the ability to communicate, negotiate, influence, and enforce regulatory requirements in challenging situations. Applicants must hold an engineering degree and be eligible for membership with APEGS or an equivalent professional body. Candidates with related education and experience may also be considered.
Key knowledge and skills include expertise in environmental site assessment, remediation and reclamation engineering practices, and familiarity with applicable remediation technologies. Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential, as is the capacity to review, analyze, inspect, audit, and approve applications related to decommissioning, remediation, and reclamation of upstream oil and gas sites and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include evaluating industry submissions, conducting inspections, supporting regulatory compliance, and contributing to policy development within the branch.
