Description

Join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and youth in our community. We are looking for a caring, energetic, and dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting young people to grow, learn, and thrive.

In this dynamic role, you will help create and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage positive development. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with 4060 children and youth each day, requiring strong energy, adaptability, and the ability to stay organized while maintaining a positive and welcoming presence.

You will provide consistent supervision while actively participating alongside children and youth, fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Your ability to build trusting relationships will help support emotional regulation, personal growth, and life skills development.

You will play an important role in ensuring a safe space by continuously assessing the environment for potential risks and responding appropriately. You will also contribute to maintaining accurate records, supporting program evaluation, and collaborating with families, colleagues, and community resources. Working from a strengths-based approach, you will support youth in setting and achieving their goals while promoting resilience and positive behavioural change.

The ideal candidate has training in Early Childhood Education, Youth Care, or a related field, along with experience working with inner-city children and youth. A strong understanding of the North Central community is an asset. First Aid and CPR certification are required.

If you are committed to being a positive role model and want to be part of a team that values connection, growth, and community impact, we encourage you to apply.
