Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain of Cable plow, Backhoe, Excavators, trenchers,etc.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of proper techniques for installing buried fibre and copper lines.
Collaborate closely with other equipment operators, directional drillers, and hydrovac teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Install essential components such as conduits, pedestals, and vaults, adapting to varying site requirements.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, particularly when working around existing underground utilities.
Interact respectfully and professionally with members of the public while on site.
Accurately interpret and utilize mapping for proper excavation for installation.
Oversee the regular maintenance and proper care of tools and equipment.
Understand that working productively and safely go hand in hand.
Safety Commitments
Proficient in using Sitedocs for documentation and compliance.
Complete FLHA forms and conduct equipment inspections as required.
Consistently adhere to all established safety procedures to protect team members and the public.
Work in a safe manner at all times.
Required Qualifications
Class 5 drivers licence with G endorsement (mandatory); Class 1A considered an asset.
CSTS certification.
Ground Disturbance Level II certification.
Valid First Aid certificate
Work is primarily in central to northern Saskatchewan, with subsistence pay and accommodations provided.
Schedules may include a 5-day work week or 10-4 schedule depending on job location.
Position is based out of North Battleford or Prince Albert.
