Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of proper techniques for installing buried fibre and copper lines.
Collaborate closely with equipment operators, directional drillers, and hydrovac teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Install essential components such as conduits, pedestals, and vaults, adapting to varying site requirements.
Perform cable pulling and manage copper bonding and splicing with precision.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, particularly when working around existing underground utilities.
Interact respectfully and professionally with members of the public while on site.
Accurately interpret and utilize mapping to guide installation and excavation activities.
Organize and stock job-specific materials efficiently, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
Oversee the regular maintenance and proper care of tools and equipment.
Understand that working productively and safely go hand in hand.
Safety Commitments
Proficient in using Sitedocs for documentation and compliance.
Complete FLHA forms and conduct equipment inspections as required.
Consistently adhere to all established safety procedures to protect team members and the public.
Work in a safe manner at all times.
Required Qualifications
Class 5 drivers licence with G endorsement (mandatory); Class 1A considered an asset.
CSTS certification.
Ground Disturbance Level II certification.
Valid First Aid certification
Work is primarily in central to northern Saskatchewan, with subsistence pay and accommodations provided.
Schedules may include a 5-day work week or 10-4 schedule depending on job location.
Position is based out of North Battleford or Prince Albert
