The Provincial Capital Commission offers a permanent Labour Service role providing an annual cycle of seasonal horticulture work from April to September, supporting visitor experiences and educational programming in Wascana Centre and Government House. The ideal candidate is reliable, safetyfocused, able to interact courteously with the public, and comfortable performing physical tasks in varying weather conditions. Candidates should understand and follow instructions, use hand and powered tools safely, maintain positive working relationships, and show initiative in assisting others.
Key qualifications include experience in plant identification, care and propagation of annuals, perennials and tropicals, along with background in horticulture or related fields such as arboriculture, agriculture or landscaping. Greenhouse or nursery experience is an asset, and a Class 5 drivers licence is required.
Responsibilities include caring for diverse plants, performing greenhouse maintenance and minor repairs, and supporting daily horticultural operations.
