As the Technologist, SCADA Operations, you will perform operational duties within the SCADA control centre for a variety of small to complex systems including monitoring, graphical trending, interpreting, and evaluating information provided through the SCADA systems and controlling operations to aid in proactive operation and maintenance of a safe water supply.
To qualify, you will have a two-year technical diploma; a Water Resources Engineering Technology diploma is preferred. Eligibility for certification as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) or Certified Technician (C.Tech) is required. A Valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.
Certification at the appropriate levels in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Wastewater Treatment is required to be obtained in accordance with the Operator Certification Board requirements or existing industry reciprocity agreements.
In addition to the above qualifications, the job requires 1 year of experience in the following areas:
Working knowledge of water treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection and wastewater treatment processes.
Ability to respond to customer inquiries and complaints and maintain customer satisfaction.
Skill in written and verbal communications.
Special Requirements: The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
