Stapleford Medical Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled LPN Foot Care Specialist (22.5 hrs/week) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered foot care in a clinical setting. This role focuses on assessing, treating, and preventing foot-related conditions, particularly for high-risk populations such as individuals with diabetes.
Working collaboratively with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, you will support mobility, prevent complications, and enhance patient comfort and quality of life. This position is part of a Saskatchewan Innovation Fund initiative aimed at improving access to primary care through team-based support. Temporary until March 31, 2027, with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive foot assessments and provide routine/advanced foot care (nail care, callus reduction, basic wound care)
Identify high-risk conditions and coordinate care with healthcare providers
Develop individualized care plans and educate patients on prevention and hygiene
Maintain IPAC standards and accurate EMR documentation
Collaborate with the care team and support clinic operations
Qualifications:
Current CLPNS registration and Practical Nursing diploma
Foot Care certification (or willingness to obtain)
BLS certification and 12 years of clinical experience (foot/wound care preferred)
Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
EMR proficiency and commitment to patient-centered care
