SaskWater is looking for an experienced and certified water professional to join the Special Services team within the Operations division. This position requires significant travel, where you will be working approximately 70% of the time in SaskWater facilities around the province.

Working a set 8 days on, 6 days off shift, you will work in SaskWater owned and operated water treatment plants, distribution systems and wastewater facilities across the province. In addition, you will deliver the corporate meter program, and perform backflow prevention testing, underwater inspections using a remote operated vehicle, and leak detections services as well as undertaking other technology support activities.

To qualify, you will have a two-year technical diploma: preference will be given to candidates with a diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology.  Certification as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) or Certified Technician (C.Tech.) is required to be obtained. Certification at the appropriate levels in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Wastewater Treatment is required to be obtained in accordance with the Operator Certification Board requirements or existing industry reciprocity agreements.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
