They are looking for an adaptable, selfmotivated individual who works well in a diverse team, contributes positively to a safe workplace, and can perform physically demanding tasks in challenging and changing weather conditions. Strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to make critical decisions affecting the travelling public are essential.
Applicants must hold a valid Class 1A drivers license and provide a current drivers abstract if selected for interview. Basic computer skills are required to manage email, timecards, and expense submissions. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours and perform heavy labour, including lifting and operating equipment for extended periods.
Key skills include operating, servicing, and maintaining heavy equipment such as tandem trucks with attachments, graders, and loaders; using advanced hydraulic controls during snow operations; completing daily records; and ensuring public safety through surveillance and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities may also include supporting yearround maintenance planning and contributing to operational decisions that impact road safety.
