Description

Location: Northwest Saskatchewan

This position requires frequent day travel throughout Northwest Saskatchewan as well as occasional overnight travel within the province. This position offers the flexibility to be based out of Saskatoon and surrounding areas, or other communities in the Northwest region that are within reasonable driving distance of Saskatoon.

The SARCAN system includes depots directly operated by SARC or by SARC Members. You will be responsible for all or some of the following depending on facility:
- Providing leadership & general management oversight to recycling depots
- Hiring, onboarding, supporting, coaching & evaluating supervisory staff
- Acting as a primary support for supervisors
- Ensuring the accountability of depots & compliance with operational procedures
- Completing required documentation & reports
- Maintaining good customer & community relations
- Fostering an inclusive, cohesive & respectful work environment
- Participating in professional development & working groups
- Performing other duties as assigned

What are the skills you must have to perform this role?  
- Minimum five years of related industry experience, most recently in a supervisory role
- Post-secondary education is an asset
- Effective communication skills
- Judiciousness & political sensitivity when working amongst a diverse group of individuals and organizations
- Organizational & problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency using MS 365
- Proactive, accountable & able to work independently  
- Commitment to teamwork
- Ability to work effectively with & coach persons with all abilities  
- Flexibility and the willingness to change priorities & deadlines as required
- Empathy, a positive attitude & sense of humour go a long way
- Valid class 5 drivers license & your own reliable vehicle is required
- Satisfactory criminal record check as a condition of employment
