Description

Quality Molded Plastics Ltd. is a long-established rotational molding company, and we
are looking for a permanent full-time Production Supervisor for our production
operation.

QMP is hiring a person who is a hard worker and is self motivated. The successful
candidate must work both on their own and in a team environment. Attention to detail
and quality is required and expected. The successful candidate is required to support
company policies and procedures while ensuring policies, procedures, standards and
practices are applied and adhered to at all times by production personnel.

REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge & Key Abilities:
Completion of Grade 12 and ability to use Microsoft Office.
Knowledge and familiarity of manufacturing methods and processes.
Quality focused with knowledge of Quality programs  ISO9001.
Safety conscious with knowledge of Safe work procedures  OHS  Legislation.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Self-motivated and ability to work as a team player and with minimal
supervision.
Ability to train, coach and mentor production personnel.
Must possess effective problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
Ability to read and understand schematic/part drawings and applicable
documentation.
Ability to use various pneumatic and electrically powered hand tools
Ability to do periodic heavy lifting.
Experience:
Five years of work experience in manufacturing or related environment.
Familiarity with manufacturing systems and lean tools
2 years of previous supervisory experience is required.
Operating fork-lifts and crane equipment.
Operating either Rotomolding or plastics molding equipment is an asset.
Mechanical aptitude/ability
Completion of, or enrollment in a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic
apprenticeship program is an asset.
Welding experience is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentor and lead a reliable production team
