We have an immediate opening for a Research Associate Food Crop Science & Ingredient Innovation.
This role will play a critical part in advancing applied research initiatives focused on crop utilization, ingredient functionality and product development.
The successful candidate will contribute to multiple projects by leading data analysis, literature reviews, and technical reporting.
Responsibilities:
Conduct literature reviews to support research proposals, project design, and reporting; Perform statistical analysis of experimental data; Prepare technical reports, summaries, and documentation for stakeholders (e.g., funders, industry partners); Support experimental design and data interpretation across research projects; Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product development, processing, crop science); Assist with grant applications, progress reports, and scientific communications;
Organize and manage research data, ensuring accuracy and compliance; Develop experimental designs to meet client and project needs; Collect process data, develop SOPs, and ensure proper documentation
Promote organizational activities and support additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
MSc or PhD in Food Science, Agricultural Science, or related field; Strong skills in statistical analysis and experimental design; Experience in scientific writing and technical reporting; Familiarity with ingredient functionality, crop composition, or food processing (asset); Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS); Excellent communication skills; Knowledge of protein, fiber, and functional ingredient systems (e.g., pulses, cereals)
