Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be working out of the Carry The Kettle Administration Building located in Indian Head, SK.
Reporting directly to Chief and Council, the Executive Assistant provides senior-level administrative, governance, and coordination support. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Diploma in Public/Business Administration, Office Administration, or related field
Minimum five (5) years related administrative experience
Experience with First Nations governance and meeting processes
Strong minute-taking, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting technology
Ability to manage confidential information
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES, PERSONAL SUITABILITY
Provide efficient administrative and governance support to Chief and Council
Prepare, record, and distribute agendas and meeting minutes
Coordinate meetings, travel, calendars, schedules, and events
Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and Band Council Resolutions
Administer financial processes including purchase orders and payment requests
Liaise with Directors, First Nations, Tribal Councils, and external organizations
Maintain confidential records and filing systems
Support public relations activities and Band Membership Meetings
Ability to recognize individual learning styles and the characteristics of learners
Ability to comply with NOEC, CTK policies, federal and provincial legislation
Organizational, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive information
Additional Requirements
Clear Criminal Record Check
Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License and access to a vehicle
Ability to travel within Saskatchewan
