The ministry is seeking an organized, motivated individual who can support pavement marking and sign installation across a wide geographic area. The ideal candidate is adaptable, safetyfocused, and able to travel extensively, including being away from home up to five days per week. A strong commitment to teamwork, situational awareness, and adherence to ministry standards is essential. Candidates must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied outdoor conditions.
To qualify, candidates must hold a valid Class 3A license or be willing to obtain it during probation, provide a current driver abstract, and demonstrate alignment with the ministrys values. Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform equipment maintenance will support success in this role.
Responsibilities include operating light and heavy equipment for pavement marking and signing; performing preventative maintenance; setting up work zones and directing traffic; completing risk assessments; reporting work activities; loading materials; and cleaning road surfaces. Assistance to the sign crew may also be required.
