Architectural Technologist / Housing Designer

KRN Residential Design is growing and looking for an energetic, design-driven Architectural Technologist ready to jump in and contribute right away.

This is not a background drafting role. You'll be involved in real projects, working with clients, solving design challenges, and producing clean, accurate drawings.


What You'll Do:

Client meetings and design discussions

Concept + preliminary design for multi-family housing (duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, townhomes), home additions, spec/production housing, and single-family homes

Develop detailed construction drawings in Revit for multiple different styles of housing projects.

Assist with permit applications


What Were Looking For:

15 years experience in residential design

Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (mandatory)

Detail-oriented, accurate, and efficient

Strong communication skills and ability to read clients

Creative, adaptable, and solution-focused

Self-driven and able to work with minimal training


Required:

Diploma in Architectural Technologies from a Canadian institution (e.g., Saskatchewan Polytechnic or equivalent)

Strong understanding of residential construction and Part 9 of the 2020 NBCC

Proficiency with Autodesk REVIT
