Summary:
The Kitchen Worker is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen which includes; Plan and prepare a nutritious lunch and supper meal for the clients and their children. Organization of the kitchen and pantry, and any other food related areas, including cleaning, safety and supplies. Budgeting and organizing food purchases and donations is also a requirement. The Kitchen Worker is directly accountable to the Executive and/or Assistant Director.
Duties:
-Minimum of three (3) years experience in the social, health or human service field.
-Good oral and written communication and interpersonal relation skills.
-Certificate in First Aid & CPR.
-Safe Food Handling Certification.
-Abilities to work independently.
-Valid and insurable Saskatchewan Drivers License.
-Must be able to pass security clearances and have a clean criminal record.
-Prepare snacks and meals for residents and their children.
-Meal preparation.
-Grocery orders.
-Maintain a high standard of health and safety procedures.
-Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and values.
