Summary:
The Outreach Support Services Coordinator is responsible for the provision of support services to clients which includes but is not limited to case management, facilitation, and delivery of in-house group programming, arranging for in-house agency delivered programming, donations and supply management, life skills programming, assistance and support to Crisis Intervention staff, and provision of supportive communication with Shelter and non-residents who seek the Shelters services. The Outreach Coordinator will ensure the care and welfare of the clients in the Shelter by enforcing operations of Shelter rules and regulations and by monitoring the maintenance and cleanliness of the Shelter.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of five (5) years experience in the human services field.
-Certification in First Aid & CPR.
-Safe Food Handling Certificate.
-Knowledge of and training in interpersonal and sexual violence.
-Experience, knowledge, and certification in counselling methodologies.
-Experience in budgeting and financial monitoring.
-Supervisory experience.
-Experience working with at-risk individuals is considered an asset.
-Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Must be bondable.
-Demonstrate knowledge of and empathy for victims of interpersonal violence.
-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
-Must provide a clean criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and child abuse index check.
-Valid and insurable Saskatchewan Drivers License.
-Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and values.
