The Academic Chair plays a pivotal leadership role in advancing high quality, student centered education within the School of Health Sciences. This position provides academic and operational leadership to the Medical Diagnostics programs, ensuring they are responsive to industry needs and aligned with Saskatchewan Polytechnics strategic priorities.
Based at our Saskatoon main campus, reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences, the Chair leads faculty and staff to deliver excellence in teaching, learning, and program operations. Through strong partnerships with health care employers, accrediting bodies, government, and educational partners, the Chair ensures programs remain current, sustainable, and workforce ready.

The Academic Chair is accountable for academic leadership, people leadership, financial and operational management, and strategic planning across these programs. This includes overseeing program delivery across multiple Saskatchewan Polytechnic campuses and partner sites, supporting and advocating for program areas with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the resources, facilities, and staffing required for success are in place. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and accountability, the Chair fosters an environment where faculty and staff can excel, and where students are prepared to thrive in dynamic health care careers.
