Job description
Youth Program Staff support a variety of YMCA Programs designed to build skills, confidence and connection for children and youth of all abilities. Program areas may include Child Minding, sports, sciences, arts and camps.

Role & Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and deliver fun, inclusive and developmentally appropriate activities that promote personal growth, social skills, recreation and healthy living.
Create a safe, supportive and engaging program environment through effective supervision, coaching and mentorship.
Build positive relationship with participants and families, modeling YMCA values in all interactions.
Collaborate with team members to achieve program goals and ensure smooth program operations.
Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage daily tasks and program needs.
Maintain a clean and safe program space by completing required housekeeping and sanitization duties.

Job Requirements:
Strong organizational skills and creativity in program planning.
Proven leadership abilities including managing groups of varying ages and abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
Standard First Aid and CPR-C;
A Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search within 3 months prior to start date.
