Overview:
The City of Humboldt is seeking one Temporary, Full-Time Customer Service Representative to work out of City Hall. The position will begin immediately and is expected to last until July 31st with the potential of extension.
This role is part of the City Hall Administration team, which supports the City's day-to-day operations and works closely with management and other City departments.
The Customer Service Representative provides frontline customer service, including but not limited to; receiving and processing payments, answering phones and responding to public inquiries, assisting with record keeping, filing, and maintaining City records, and providing administrative support to departmental operations.
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration or a related field
- Demonstrated ability in record keeping, administration, and filing
- Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting programs
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Compensation:
- This is an in-scope (union) position with a starting wage of $22.34/hr
- Employees are eligible for the employer matched defined pension plan and a free leisure pass
- Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a 1-hour lunch.
