Description

We currently have 2 temporary full-time positions available for a Language Assistant (Speech and Language Pathology) at various school locations in our school division.

- King George/Riverside/Canwood/Shellbrook/TD Michel - starting August 31, 2026 to June 23, 2027, or upon return of employee on leave.
- Education Centre - various school locations) starting August 31, 2026 to June 23, 2027

Requirements:
- Successful completion of Grade 12.    
- Preference will be given to individuals with at least one year of related post-secondary education in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent from a recognized institution as approved by the Board of Education.
- Experience in the implementation of communication programming with students of varying ages and developmental levels.
- Completion of professional development in the area of speech-language development and communication programming would be and asset.
- Post-secondary training related to child development would be an asset.
- Knowledge and skills with various forms of non-speaking communication [Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)] would be an asset.
- Knowledge of student behaviour management and co-regulation strategies.
