Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of casual Clerk at our Food Store location in Smeaton, Saskatchewan.

Reporting to Food Store Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
Serve guests, pack groceries, stock, and face shelves, dispense fuel and propane.
Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department; clean up breakage and spills, clean shelves, bins and displays as needed, and keep aisles free of debris.
Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company policies, procedure, and standards in social responsibility and the selling of age restricted items relating to wine, spirits, beer, tobacco and lottery.
Knowledge and working understanding of the pumps and propane.
Operate point of sale system and other electronic devices and process sales.
Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in first out (FIFO).
Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
You must be willing and able to obtain WHMIS and propane dispensing certifications.
You are attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.
You have the ability to fulfill physical job requirements, working both inside and outside, standing, kneeling, crouching, and performing heavy lifting regularly.
You have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.
You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
