West Ridge Childcare Centre is seeking a Summer Childcare Support Worker through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

This position is designed to enhance summer programming and provide additional support to educators during the busy summer months. The successful candidate will assist in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children.

Key Responsibilities
-Support educators in supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities
-Assist with summer programming, including games, crafts, and outings
-Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
-Engage positively with children to support social, emotional, and developmental growth
-Assist with transitions, routines, and daily programming needs
-Follow all Centre policies, procedures, and licensing regulations


Qualifications
-Interest in working with children (early learning or education considered an asset)
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-Reliable, responsible, and able to take direction
-Previous experience working with children is an asset but not required


Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs)
Applicants must:
-Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
-Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person
-Be legally entitled to work in Canada


Additional Requirements
-Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector (required prior to start)
-First Aid/CPR certification
