Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. You will be responsible for the overall success of the department, including technician productivity, service advisor performance, and providing an exceptional experience for every customer who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
Department Leadership: Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, workflow, and quality control for service advisors and technicians.
Customer Excellence: Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure high satisfaction and loyalty.
Financial Management: Manage the departmental budget, drive sales and profitability targets, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Staff Development: Hire, train, and mentor service staff, promoting a safe and continuous-improvement workplace culture.
Operations & Compliance: Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and all safety and environmental regulations are followed.
Inventory & Warranty: Manage inventory and oversee manufacturer warranty claims and recalls.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum 5 years in automotive service management or a supervisory role.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Systems Proficiency: Experience with Dealership Management Systems (DMS) and modern diagnostic tools.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
Requirements: Valid drivers license and clean driving record. Post-secondary education in Business or Automotive Technology is an asset.
