You will be responsible for the day-to-day analysis of laboratory samples by wet chemistry and instrumentation methods.
This is a two-year temporary position.
In this role, you will:
-Participant in quality control activities within the lab operations and assist with corrective and preventative action planning and implementation.
-Perform maintenance of analytical equipment in the lab, mill and mine, and provide coverage to the McArthur River satellite lab as needed.
Required:
-chemical technology diploma or bachelors degree in chemistry;
-up to three years of relevant work experience;
-equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
-working knowledge of chemical laboratory principles and procedures;
-effective organizational and analytical skills;
-solid team player with a willingness to learn;
-excellent written and verbal communication skills;
-demonstrated ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision;
-coachable and receptive to feedback, maintains a positive attitude, works diligently, and adheres to safe work practices;
-ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbs; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
-experience with an x-ray fluorescent spectrometer;
-experience with Microsoft Office suite and SAP; and
-working knowledge of LIMS.
