Description

This role applies Journeyperson Painter and Decorator expertise to prepare surfaces and apply paints, coatings, and decorative finishes across City facilities. Working independently with guidance from the Foreman Painters, you deliver quality workmanship on buildings, structures, pools, ice surfaces, equipment, and signage while following work orders, drawings, and safety requirements. The position may also provide direction to other tradespeople and ensures work meets established standards through to completion.

What You Bring

- Journeyman certification with several years of hands on painting and decorating experience
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, finishes, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read drawings, plan work, estimate materials, and manage job details
- Confidence working independently or leading others with a strong safety focus
