The Liquor Store Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selection, operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking shelves, and ensuring compliance with all liquor laws and store policies. The ideal candidate will be friendly, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist customers with locating products and making recommendations.
Answer customer questions regarding pricing, promotions, and product availability.
Ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Sales & Cash Handling
Operate cash register/POS system accurately.
Process cash, debit, and credit transactions.
Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
Handle refunds and exchanges according to store policy.
Inventory & Merchandising
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with products.
Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items.
Rotate stock and ensure products are properly faced and organized.
Assist with receiving deliveries and unloading shipments.
Store Maintenance
Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize store areas regularly.
Ensure shelves and displays remain neat and attractive.
Compliance & Safety
Verify customer identification to ensure legal purchasing age.
Follow all Saskatchewan liquor laws and store policies.
Prevent theft and report suspicious activity.
Maintain safe working conditions and follow workplace safety procedures.
