SUMMER BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER
St. Volodymyr Villa, a seniors residence, has a temporary full-time position available  supported by funding from Canada Summer Jobs.  
This position is only available to youth who are:
    between the ages of 15 and 30 (inclusive) at the start of employment;
    a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
    legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations;
* International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

Duties include making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.  Other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair, fence repair, underground parkade cleaning, and other tasks as required.  Knowledge of the safe operation and maintenance of hand/power tools and grounds keeping equipment, as well as basic knowledge of carpentry. Sufficient practical experience to perform the duties is required, and experience working with seniors is an asset.  Monday to Friday, approximately 37 hours/week. Start date to be determined but is expected to be early May to late August.  Salary negotiable.
