Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, Information Technology, this position is responsible for the management of staff, operational budget, and the success of information technology (IT) projects and initiatives for Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre (Sask DLC) in multiple areas of technology systems, enterprise architecture, and applications support. IT at Sask DLC embodies the following technologies and includes:
* Core business technology such as the Microsoft M365 tenant;
* Data, Integrations & Automation Infrastructure;
* Support for HCM, Payroll, & Finance technology platforms;
* Support for Student Information Systems & Registration;
* Education Technology platforms;
* Printing and A/V technology;
* Telecommunications technology; and
* Network technology and architecture.

Focused on delivering the highest level of customer service, this leadership position will foster collaboration with the other departments of the Sask DLC to ensure successful educational technology, as well as administrative and facilities construction/renovation, initiatives with respect to technology deployments and implementations are successfully achieved. This role is the operational head of IT staff and provides supports to students, parents, vendors, and outside proponents. Relationship management and collaboration is a key responsibility of this position.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Maintains operational IT department staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintains a safe and secure work environment; develops professional growth opportunities for the operational IT staff; communicates job expectations, and monitors performance.
* Works with the Educational Technology team to maintain the organization's effectiveness by delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies in an educational context.
