Description

Saskatoon Public Schools is the largest school division in Saskatchewan, serving nearly 29,000 students with the support of more than 3,300 dedicated professional and support staff. Our division includes 48 elementary schools and 10 secondary schools, including a flexible learning program for artists and athletes, and a unique partnership school  Charles Red Hawk Elementary School located on Whitecap Dakota Nation.

The Human Resources Department requires a full-time Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support related to a variety of human resources and payroll functions.

The successful candidate will:

- prepare correspondence, reports and other human resources documentation
- maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- assist with staffing, recruitment and onboarding processes
- assist with maintaining and updating human resource information systems and databases
- assist with payroll and human resources administration
- respond to inquiries and provide customer service to staff

The successful candidate will have:

- a diploma or degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and two years of successful human resources experience, or a combination of education and experience
- preference may be given to candidates with previous HR experience and/or CPHR candidacy
- strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
excellent organizational, problem-solving and time management abilities
- knowledge of HR practices
- strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS and databases
- the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
