The Role
Reporting to the manager, reliability engineering, you will act as the technical authority for Camecos structural integrity program, with accountability for program governance. The program aims to ensure that structural assets within the program are properly, consistently, and regularly inspected over their life cycle post commissioning, including assurance of inspection effectiveness, periodic reviews of inspection strategies, and continuous improvement based on asset risk. Structural assets within scope may include buildings, headframes, shafts, surface and underground structures, foundations, structural components of storage tanks and vessels, piping supports, material handling structures, and other civil/structural infrastructure that supports safe and reliable operations.
In this role, you will:
-Develop and maintain Camecos structural integrity program, including governance, standards, inspection strategies, and performance metrics.
-Develop inspection and condition monitoring plans for structural assets, including integration of mechanical components where applicable.
-Execute structural integrity inspections and facilitate third party inspections of structures at Camecos operations.
-Provide engineering assessments of inspection and monitoring results, including working with Camecos Technical Services group to develop recommendations for repairs, remediation, load restrictions, or re-evaluation of inspection plans.
-Coordinate long-term inspection plans and integrity activities across Camecos operations.
-Support risk-based integrity prioritization and input into asset investment and lifecycle planning.
-Provide technical guidance and subject-matter expertise to site engineering, maintenance, and operations teams related to structural integrity risks and mitigation measures.
