Description

Provide leadership, supervision, and support to shelter staff
Ensure consistent delivery of trauma-informed, client-centered services to women and children
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the transition house, including safety, maintenance, and overall functioning
Case Management-Support staff in crisis intervention, safety planning, and responding to complex situations
Develop, implement, and uphold policies and procedures aligned with sector standards and organizational values
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and culturally safe environment for residents and staff
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training and development of staff
Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and adherence to confidentiality requirements
Respond to critical incidents and provide leadership during emergencies

Qualifications
Bachelor of Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
Strong understanding of intimate partner violence, trauma, addiction & mental health
Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally safe practices
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Strong critical thinking skills, ability to be flexible and work as part of a team
Ability to support and guide staff in high-pressure and crisis situations
Knowledge of relevant legislation
Valid drivers license and a clear criminal record check, including vulnerable sector
