Job Requirements
Ages 1830
Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee status (no student work visas)
Legally eligible to work in Canada
No prior gardening experience required
Working Conditions
Outdoor work in varied weather (rain, heat, cold), including manual labour
Working with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Occasional evening/weekend work
Tasks & Responsibilities
Growing food: planting, weeding, maintaining, harvesting, washing, and packaging produce
Working with volunteers: supporting individuals, school groups, and community groups; leading tours
Participating in workshops, mentorship, excursions, and cultural activities
Skills/Assets
Enjoys physical outdoor work in all weather
Interest in gardening or urban agriculture (experience is an asset)
Cultural awareness and sensitivity
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
Team-oriented, adaptable, curious, and compassionate
Assets: drivers license, First Aid/CPR-C, Food Safety, volunteer experience
