Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Oversee the life cycle of all operations-based assets and equipment.
- Collaborating with operational departments to determine vehicle, equipment, and consumable needs, including developing a schedule for replacement and replenishment.
- Oversee the vehicle fleet program and be the primary contact for our external provider. Includes: managing vehicle assignments, coordinating replacements, and cost monitoring.
Source and negotiate pricing quotes, prepare purchase orders, and approve vendor bills related to all equipment and consumable acquisitions.
- Manage the capital asset life cycle, from sourcing and negotiating purchases to identifying and executing disposal strategies.
- Monitor vehicle and equipment usage and ensure operational order is being maintained.
- Track vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance activities.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, and tools are being accurately captured in the computerized asset management system, including, maintaining electronic databases, and monitoring reports for deficiencies.
- Ensure all utilized equipment and tools are assigned to work contracts, monitoring the regular signing-in and out of all assets.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to source (purchase or rent) job-specific equipment.
- Oversee company-wide logistics and freight, including job-site delivery of equipment (owned or rented) and material received off-site.
Facilities responsibilities include:
- Assess maintenance requirements of all owned and rented facilities.
- Source and negotiate maintenance contracts for premises upkeep.
- Source and negotiate repair services for emergency maintenance requirements.
- May hire, train, or supervise shop coordinators.
