Job Description: The incumbent will be working as part of a Consultation Liaison Team. Within this collaborative interdisciplinary team model, the incumbent will provide direct consultation and support to individuals who have mental health and addiction issues within a hospital setting. The incumbent is responsible to assist with triaging and providing nursing support to clients with mental health and addiction issues in a hospital setting. The incumbent will develop strong service relationships with the physicians, health care providers, addiction counselors, and social workers. This incumbent will integrate their experience, skills and knowledge from nursing theory and principles of physical health, mental health and addictions in the provision and management of direct client/patient/resident care, assessment of needs, interdisciplinary team planning and consultation, follow-up after discharge and education of client/patient/resident, as well as formal and informal caregivers and health care students.

Education

Graduate from an approved school of nursing. Active registration with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRPNS) or College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS); Current PART and BCLS certification required.
