McClure Place offers enriched seniors housing in both an independent and assisted living environment. Services are enriched through community, recreation, and health services.

The position of Recreation Assistant would assist the Recreation Service Director in planning, organizing, and implementing resident activities. The Recreation Assistant will provide wellness and fitness activities, develop and maintain positive relationships with both residents and staff, as well as assist with the development of new programs and activities.

We are looking for a student currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary school returning to full-time studies (minimum of three classes) in the fall.  Suitable candidates are those legally entitled to work in Canada and preferably enrolled in a recreation-based program such as Therapeutic Recreation, Physical Education, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.  Experience working with older adults would be an asset but not a requirement. This position is 30 hours/week at a wage of $16.00/hour
