Description

Regina Housing provides appropriate and affordable housing to those most in need. We are currently looking for a FT Temporary Community Outreach Coordinator to join our Housing Program team.

Responsibilities
-Identify tenant issues and behaviors that may jeopardize the tenancy.
-Engage appropriate resources to provide preventative support, through enhancing resilience and life skills to support long-term tenancy success.
-Develop and champion individualized plans, monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and serve as a liaison between tenants and service providers.
-Plan and facilitate tenant programming.
-Analyze trends and provide evidence-based recommendations for policy development and strategic program planning.

Requirements:
-Post secondary degree and/or diploma Social Work, Social Sciences or other relevant education or equivalent, combined with at least 2 years related experience
-Knowledge of CASWs Code of Ethics, Truth and Reconciliation Commissions Calls to Action
-Demonstrated experience with issue identification, diagnosing behavioral and psychosocial patterns, counselling, mediating, and effective problem resolution
-Sound knowledge of community based health, social and family service organizations
-Demonstrated strength in risk assessment regarding safety of tenant, staff, and community and take decisive action to de-escalate crisis situations
-Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes
-Able to work some flexible hours to accommodate the needs of tenants
