As a Transit Training Officer, you play a key role in shaping safe, confident and high performing transit operations. Reporting to the Transit Training Coordinator, you deliver hands on instruction, evaluate performance and support the development of operating and safety practices across transit services. You combine instructional skill, operational knowledge and sound judgment to train staff, investigate incidents and help ensure a safe and reliable transit system for our community.
What You Bring
- Experience as an instructor with strong knowledge of adult education principles in an operational environment
- In depth understanding of transit vehicles, equipment, routes, safety standards and regulations
- Confident communication, leadership and decision making skills with the ability to coach and influence others
- Strong organizational and technical skills including record keeping, reporting and Microsoft Office proficiency
