Summer Student JobResponsibilities include:
creating and implementing a summer youth workshop program
assist with fundraising event and Summer Art Camp
guiding school/group tours
digital data entering of permanent art collection information into SaskCollections data base.
The ideal candidate would have:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program.
Previous experience working with children and youth in educational or recreational settings is an asset.
Basic knowledge of visual art techniques & terminology.
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software, including collection-management systems (e.g., SaskCollections).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to engage with the public in a friendly, positive and professional manner.
Collaboration, problem solving, and reliability
Must be available for the full duration of the employment period,
including special events such as workshops, camps, and the
Garden Party Fundraiser.
