Job Description
The Gym & Front Desk Attendant provides excellent customer service while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming facility. This role includes front desk operations, member support, and custodial responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front Desk
Greet members and guests in person and by phone
Answer calls professionally and assist with inquiries
Check members into classes, training sessions, and bookings
Manage bookings, leads, and member profiles using Glofox
Contact new leads regularly and return missed calls/voicemails
Process payments (cash and card) and ensure memberships are current
Maintain accurate records of member interactions
Facility Cleaning & Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of front desk, lobby, gym floor, and shared areas
Perform custodial duties including:
Cleaning and restocking washrooms
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
Wiping down equipment
Emptying garbage
Washing, drying, and folding towels
Conduct routine walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness and safety
Operations Support
Replace access fobs and update member accounts
Manage guest registrations
Report maintenance issues or concerns to management
Complete additional duties as assigned
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
Qualifications & Skills
Customer service experience required (fitness industry an asset)
8-hour shifts between 6:00 AM 10:00 PM, Monday to Sunday
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with computers (Word, Excel; Glofox an asset)
Ability to multitask and work independently
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Certifications & Requirements
Valid resume with references
CPR, AED, and Level C First Aid certification, Valid Drivers License
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
