The Role
If you enjoy the outdoors and working in a remote environment, the Exploration Field Assistant position may be for you. The Exploration Field Assistant position will support the exploration drill programs and project teams from December to April and June to September in Northern Saskatchewan. Responsibilities include basic drill core preparation, core rack building, site inspections, and transportation of drill core from the drill rig to the camp. The position will work a two-weeks in, one week out and will access the work site via aircraft.
In this role, you will:
-Operate snow machines, ATVs, UTVs and trucks to transport drill core, supplies and material to/from the camp.
-Perform basic drill core measurements and scanning.
-Construct wooden core racks.
-Complete drill site and field camp inspections.
-Shovel snow and clear trees within the core yard.
-Work 60% in a team environment & 40% independently.
Required:
-grade 12 Diploma or GED;
-valid class 5 or class 5 restricted drivers license; and
-work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
-ATV/UTV operator certifications;
-basic first aid; and
-snow machine experience.
Conditions of Employment:
-substance test.
This is a temporary position running approximately June 2026 to September 2026.
