Accountabilities
Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and control systems; diagnose and resolve instrumentation, control loop, and signal issues
Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems, including integration and input/output checkout of field devices
Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA systems
Design electrical control panels, including layout and component selection, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
Assemble, wire, and support fabrication and installation of control panels
Support commissioning activities, including functional testing and start-up support
Participate in hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and permit-to-work processes
Verify instrumentation and controls systems meet design specifications, safety requirements, and operational needs
Ensure designs and work practices align with applicable codes, standards, and internal requirements
Qualifications
Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology, or certification as a Journeyperson Electrician or Journeyperson Instrumentation and Control Technician
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial instrumentation, controls, or commissioning environments
The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
