The positions primary responsibilities are to disassemble non-repairable, obsolete oil filled distribution equipment, determine if components to be scrapped or recycled, and to prepare materials for shipping.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Disassembling non-repairable & obsolete oil-filled distribution equipment
Removing components and sort; separate aluminum, brass, and copper material
Preparing scrap core and coils for shipping
Assembling containers and pallets for materials to be shipped in
Monitoring scrap oil levels
Various other duties as assigned
Performing other duties as allocated.
WHAT IT TAKES
Apply today if you meet the following requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent education combined with formal training and/or work experience in related field.
6-12 months experience in a shop environment using hand tools
Crane experience is an asset.
Familiarity with pneumatic tools and pumps.
Ability to work at sustained pace and produce quality work.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
