Injection Molding Process & Equipment
Set up, start up, and optimize injection molding machines, change and maintain tooling as required
Establish and maintain molding parameters including temperatures, pressures, speeds, clamp force, and cooling times
Perform scientific molding techniques such as fill studies, gate seal analysis, and process window development
Troubleshoot molding defects (short shots, flash, sinks, warpage, burns, splay, voids, etc.)
Monitor and control process stability using SPC and documented process parameters
Support cycle time reduction and scrap reduction initiatives
Inspect, package, and prepare finished parts for shipment
Perform shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment tasks
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and work areas
Follow safety protocols and quality standards at all times
Tooling & Mold Support
Perform mold installations, changeovers, and troubleshooting
Diagnose mold-related issues such as venting, cooling, gate wear, and part ejection
Work with tooling and engineering teams on mold trials, sampling, and corrective actions
Support preventative maintenance and basic mold repairs as required
Materials & Secondary Operations
Set up and monitor material handling systems (dryers, loaders, blenders, grinders)
Ensure proper material drying, handling, and contamination control
Support secondary operations such as trimming, assembly or automation
Quality & Documentation
Support first article inspections and process validations
Assist with development and maintenance of setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation
Leadership & Support
Act as a technical escalation point for complex production issues
Support management with technical input and process improvements
- Valid Forklift License/ability to obtain
- Able to lift up to 56 lbs
- Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
