WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR
Ground Effects is seeking highly motivated and hardworking individuals to fill the role of Temporary Water Treatment Plant Operator. In this role, you will be an integral member of the Field Service team providing technical services in the installation, maintenance, operation, and optimization of custom water treatment equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities:
  Complete and maintain plant logs and reports
  Maintain and repair installation equipment, help with the installation, the assembly, and repairs to equipment
  Maintain chemical feed stocks
  Make adjustments to plant equipment and systems
  Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
  Monitor and read recording instruments to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure plant systems and equipment are operating within limits
  Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment to regulate the treatment and distribution of water
  Patrol plant to check pumps, motors, filters, chlorinators and other plant equipment
Skills and Requirements :
    Strong mechanical skills
    Previous oilfield, mining experience would be an asset
    Basic computer skills
    Ability to adapt to multiple projects
    Strong communication skills
    Current First Aid/CPR & H2S safety tickets would be an asset
    Mandatory Drug & Alcohol Testing as Client Sites require
    Valid drivers license with clean drivers abstract would be an asset
    Must be physically fit to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
    Ability and willingness to work varying hours. Working in varying weather conditions.
    A diploma in Civil or Environmental Technology; or equivalent experience would be an asset
    Overtime required, including weekends and for extended/varying periods of time
    Current shift rotation is 2 weeks on ,2 weeks off
       Paid Training Provided
