About the Position
North Battleford Comprehensive High School is seeking a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) teacher beginning August 26, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027, or the return of the employee they are replacing. This position is a unique assignment as a Gateway Teacher within the provincially funded Invitational Shared Services Initiatives (ISSI) program.

This role focuses on supporting Indigenous students through a Grad Coach modelbuilding strong, respectful relationships to promote credit attainment, consistent attendance, overall school success, and on-time graduation. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with students, families, school staff, and community partners to provide responsive and culturally affirming supports.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing individualized academic coaching and goal-setting for Indigenous students
Monitoring and supporting student progress toward graduation
Strengthening attendance and engagement through proactive outreach
Collaborating with classroom teachers, school teams, and community partners
Supporting culturally responsive practices and inclusive learning environments
