*** This is a unionized position within the scope of a Collective Agreement between CUPE Local No. 2714 and the Town of Maple Creek. ***
QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess the qualifications required for Public Works Operator Levels I through IV, in addition to the following:

    Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
    Powered Mobile Equipment (PME) Certification, including: skid steer, pay loader, utility tractor and attachments, street sweeper, grader, forklift and backhoe
    Valid Saskatchewan Class 3 Drivers License
    Air Brake A Endorsement Certification
    Current certification in First Aid/ CPR, H2S, Confined Space, Ground Disturbance, Safe Work Procedures, Fall Arrest, and WHMIS
    Ability to operate heavy equipment competently, safely and efficiently
    Valid Saskatchewan Certification in Water Treatment Class 2, Water Distribution Class 2, Wastewater Treatment Class 2, and Wastewater Collection Class 2

DUTIES:        Reporting to the Director of Operations, or his designate, the Public Works Operator V/ Utilities II is responsible for supporting the Public Works Department in construction, operation and maintenance of municipal infrastructure.  This includes roads, water and wastewater systems as well as the delivery of essential public services such as waste management, snow removal, and maintenance of municipal buildings and properties.
