Job Description: The Manager, Nursing Resource Team (Float Pool) is a key leader in health care, partnering with system leaders to achieve our Integrated Saskatoon healthcare goals. The Manager demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client-centric culture. The Manager oversees the nursing staff hired to float to specific clinical units within the hospitals (RUH/SCH/SPH). The Manager will provide mentorship, clinical leadership and support to all nursing staff and the patients they care for. The Manager works closely with other nurse leaders, managers and care providers to support effective team based-care. The Manager is responsible for developing a clear reporting structure for the Float Pool and strategies to increase utilization of staff, decrease premium pay, and increase recruitment and retention. The manager is responsible for performance management and staff training requirements to ensure high quality of care is provided to clients/patients/residents.

Experience
- Five (5) years leadership experience
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
