Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority through the provision of safe quality nursing care to clients. The Clinical Resource Nurse educates, mentors and supports unit staff, promotes patient safety, occupational health and safety and quality improvement on the unit.

Position Duties:
- The Clinical Resource Nurse is an experienced nurse who is an expert in the assigned clinical program area and maintains that expertise through ongoing professional development.
- In cooperation with the Clinical Nurse Educator, the CRN provides education to nurses and other health team members as appropriate and will provide clinical orientation and mentoring to new employees.
- The CRN is responsible to meet and promote all clinical practice standards, provide leadership, clinical orientation and mentoring, and be accountable for personal professional growth.
- The Clinical Resource Nurse has responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive care for the defined patient population associated to the clinical program area.
- The Clinical Resource Nurse is a self-directed practitioner who has effective communication skills and who works collaboratively with all team members for provision of quality care.
